Did you look at the 1.5" crossover track? I think if I was in your shoes I would run that track. It looks like a tough track, with good solid lugs.
Just a thought, I know you already ordered the Backcountry.

In the Sno-X world they routinely run a 1.75 track with a double backer in each window, up the center, semi-stagered patern... but they dont care about durability... they want it to last a race... I've seen 1.75's studded.... just not alot of studs... weight and track ballooning becomes an issue.

I am running 9T , I can take a pic of the clearance for you if you would like, You will never find enough traction for boost! I didnt know it was an XTX so ye no intense for you. I would run it as is to try, however if i was trail riding with boost and want traction i would go to a 1" track with lots of long studs.

I'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous. Studs are for icy or hardpacked conditions. A deep lug track is for, as you say, snow. The vast majority of people who snowmobile will encounter both over the course of the winter.
I don't see how its ridiculous, You agreed with me, 1.75 tracks are not for trail riding all day plain and simple. If they were the Apex would come with it stock.
Studs that long I'm sure will meet the heat exchanger at some point thus me not recommending the setup.
I encounter every kind of snow condition there is from water to ice and have no problems. Learning to handle your machine without studs takes practice not everyone can ride without them not leaving enough room or having enough sense to go into a corner at a sensible speed.
All the studded friends I have only have a better hole shot on the bare lake, and I dont lake race so i'll stick to the white stuff and no studs!

 I most certainly didn't agree with you.
Most people encounter a variety of conditions in the run of a winter, and it would be nice to be ready for all of them, not one extreme or the other.

Ding ding ding, this is why studs even exist for 1.75 tracks. I would not stud a 1.75 track for trail riding, only sno-x racing. Why? Because you rarely see over 50mph on the average snox course. It is completely different than trail riding with those super long studs getting worked over by rocks, trees, ice and ballooning out at high speeds. People sometimes have to learn the hard way and having a stud thrown through your heat exchanger 20 miles from the middle of nowhere will make one reconsider the real world, practical application of studding a deep lug track.

Extreme
what about using the double backer over the singles? has anybody ever seen a double backer get pulled through? I've had singles do this but have yet to see the doubles get pulled.

I was not sure reading your post it was not clear what you meant, but i thought you might have agreed so that why i was confused!
I know the 2 ply BC is a snocross sled, but the XTX is hardly the best snocross choice lol!
