Studs?

So you can't stud a single ply track? What are the problems? Pull throughs?

You can stud a single ply track you just need to used studs with bigger heads and backers. Yeah single ply is thinner and the smaller heads pull threw.

They show 2 ply only available for 13!!!!!!

O-well I guess I will just have to get the bigger head studs and backers.....I hope they change it to 2 ply that would be nice...

They go with 1ply because the ripsaw2 track has better lug pattern and is lighter. Studding is fine aslong as u use the right studs, don't see a benifit to the 2ply

And about the 2013 tracks. Shame they are using 2014s

You would think Woody's would verify the track as their application guide on the web site shows a 2 ply track....???? Anybody know for sure if the track is a 1 or 2 ply?

Since I have had VERY good luck with Stud Boy carbides I went with the Power Point Plus studs. Also the fact the Woodys didn't seem to care that they were giving out wrong info for the Viper stud application guide caused me to not go with them. At Hay Days Woodys basically blew me off!

How many studs would you go with for the LTX w/the MPI Turbo? I don't think the 144 in this pattern will be enough. If I go with all doubles this will bring the total to 192 which will be close to the 1 stud to 1 HP guideline.

The head on the single ply stud is only 1/8 or 3/16 bigger, maybe they have tested and the reg. gold diggers worked out just fine
To me it looks like the real benefit is that is has a thiner head on the stud so they wouldn't be as loud as reg. gold diggers ...so how can a head that's 3/16 bigger better than a reg. stud?

Woodys guy at snobash was very arrogant about his list. And when saying that everything says that Atleast the viper will have ripsaw 2 he got very defensive, and said well I know all cats will have the 2ply and walked away. And last I knew cats had ripsaw 2 aswell. Really turned me away from woodys studs as I believe that was the owner. :-/
