Stupid Idea?!?!

Hello all. I gave up beer for lent so O.D.d on Tequila last night and the strangest vision came to me out of the haze. Think new Apex design here. Instead of slanting the engine up and back as it is right now what if they laid it down flat with the head toward the front. The engine would be a stressed member of the frame and would have the mounts for the A-Arms built into the engine cradle. Kind of motorcycle-style. Fuel could be carried in pods on either side of the tunnel/seat area to balance out the mass although the rider might actually be place farther forward. The center of gravity on such a set up would be incredibly low - all of the heavy mass would only be 16 inches off the snow. It might be possible to save some weight with the partial or near total elimination of the deltabox. Maybe even put some decent handwarmers on it at the same time. Whatcha think? Maybe I should switch to Vodka.

Yeah, I was wondering what a four stroke would for oiling if it was laid on it's side?????? I think give up drinking all together. LOL!!!!!

Subaru must have figured the oiling issue out....how do they do it?

And BMW and Honda bikes, Porsche engines and Volkswagen... and on and on. I don't think oiling would be an issue that's insurmountable LOL. Ya' gotta' think outside the box to make "Game changing" progress.

Already a pressurized dry sump system. No issues there. The exhaust donuts would no longer be under the tank. Think how quick you could fix them!!!!
