Suggestions for Mirrors on Nytro

Looking for a set of mirrors for the Nytro. Hopefully an aftermarket set that looks good. I don't like the looks of the big bug tenticle type that Yamaha sells in the kits.

PowerMad has a small mirror that attaches to their handguards. Anyone know of ones that would work
with the stock Yammi guards?

Yes, you can make the mirrors work with the stock handguards. I did it on my Nytro, but I was never satisfied on how they performed. You might get a glimpse of a headlight behind you, but I prefer a larger mirror for better visibility.

I am considering the same thing. I was thinking about going to crappy tire and buy a small round mirror and mounting it on the handguard. I dont want to drill holes in the handguard I may try to make a bracket and attach it with the handguard bracket.

On second thought the powermadd mirrors arent expensive at all. 18.99 one price online.

hand guard mirrors

here's what I did work ok with OFT steering relocator

Have you tried the mirror that wraps around your hand with a strap...I use it and at least the image doesn't blur .. don't like the look of mirrors on my RTX

I only need mirrors cause they are required by law in Quebec where I want to ride next year. Would like to get the glove one but don't think that would be considered mirrors for the authorities. Would need something that bolts on I think.

that's same reason I installed mirrors. they are available at Canadian tire, and fit right into the stock handguard perfectly and two screws through handguard to fasten. work pretty good with the OFT steering reloctor but, not so well when it was stock but, STILL LEGAL

Ok might see what I can find at Crappy Tire. Might also suck it up and buy some of the powermad handguards with mirrors that attach on the side, we'll see. I wanted to change the white guards for black and blue anyways.

What makes the difference with or without OFT relocator?

the OFT relocator raises the bars and makes visibility better when sitting down due to the extra height.

The power madd ones suxors
as mentioned above, you can catch a glimpse of a headlight but the surface area of the mirror is too small
It is better than nothing but there has to be something better out there that doesnt look silly

Cubby started this thread a year ago about installing a back up camera display on his sled. I think it was abandoned because there was too many who said that snow dust would create too many problems with camera visibility. Here's the thread: http://ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=11 ... era+mirror

If this would work, it sure would look cool.

BIG TICKET IN QUEBEC FOR NO MIRRORS , I BELIEVE ITS $160 PLUS POINTS . I HAVE NYTRO XTX WITH STOCK GUARDS WITH MIRROR MOUNTS ON THE GUARD BUT I CHANGED THEM FOR BAR MOUNTS FROM YAM. CHEAP $7. EACH AND IT LOWERS THE MIRRORS A BIT SO THEY DON,T LOOK LIKE BIG EARS... THEY GOT TO BE THE CHEAPEST THING I EVER BOUGHT FROM YAM.. :sled1:
