OK, I just had to post this. I know it is a Rage, but I spend so little time elsewhere , I just had to post it.

Back in December one of my best friends sunk his Rage 10' Under in the Kashwitna River.

Well Today It only got wet up to the fuel tank.

We were up the Deshka River, which is a great place to fish for Salmon during the fishing season. Pretty sure I saw a lunker trout swim by. I told him if he wanted to go Ice fishing, we could have brought my Auger. He did not laugh until we got back to the truck. We found some guys Ice fishing on a lake just a few miles away and they helped us tug it out. The only bad thing out of this was, he was borrowing a spare seat from me, cause his is getting a custom foam and new cover from his last venture. Glad the wifes Vector has a Boss seat on it now. Otherwise it may be about 40lbs heavier.

Enjoy, as it could have been worse. We could still be there trying to get it out.

Oh by the way, other than it snowing like crazy, the riding was fantastic.

Did he say how it happened? Was he going really slow or something? Glad you got it out safly too!

Actually we were cruising along in the 35-40 area. We had just been playing in the fresh snow for about 30 miles and were going to make a long loop cross some swamps and then do some boondocking back toward the truck. He was just going around the bend in the river. Looks like the ice just gave way under his left ski. He came quick stop. Flew over the bars and came up standing. The ice was thick and solid all around it. We had a long piece of pipe wedged under the ski to help lift and the ice fully supported it. If it would have happened another 4 out, the water is about 10' deep instead of the 4 where it happened.

When we pulled it out, let it idle till the belt and clutch dried out and rode it home. Did not even ruin the belt. Now that is lucky.

Here are pics of it in my garage from the December sinking. This one was piece of cake compared to the last one.

When it came to the garage virtually the whole engine compartment was a block of ice.
