Super charged Nytro, what kind of boost do you run on pump?

I just picked up a 09 XTX Nytro with a stage 2 MPI blower and a built motor. Want to run it on pump gas at sea level and was wondering what boost you guys are running?
Currently has a 25t top and a 29t bottom pulley.

When you say "built motor" whats been done? Head shim? 25T/29T is already pretty low for a stage 2. The stage 2 was never intended to run on pump gas. That's what the stage 1 is for. But thats not saying it can't be done.

It has JE pistons, Carrillo Rods, Sleeved block , Power Commander (since the tune). I am hoping that I can turn it down to be able to run on pump gas at sea level.

I'm assuming low compression pistons? With that much engine work I think whats best is to put a tank of Race gas in it and run it to see what kind of boost your getting now. We need to know where we are at now. Sounds like this motor was build to run high boost most likely. I hope turning it down doesn't hurt "drivability".

I have thought about Meth as well.

I think the pistons are the 10.0:1 but not positive. I guess I will have to hit the dyno and see where I stand.

You should be safe at 8psi @ sea level. Something to think about. I can adjust my boost from 2psi to 20+psi with the boost limiter valve I installed. No trying to guess what pullies make what boost at a certain elevation. Just dial in your boost with the twist of a knob, it takes less than 30 seconds to adjust boost. Let me know if you want more info or pictures.

I will look into the limiter valve, never heard of that before

I am having my sled dyno'ed this week and will go from there.

He's referring to a boost controller.

If you truly have low compression, and the timing has been changed for the ful, I'm betting you can run upwards of 14-15lbs on 92 octane (premium)

Ulmer has my stage one with ignition module, timing changes, head shim, and head studs running on 92 octane at 13lbs of boost on the trail. If gas looks old or the gas station looks suspicious I use a heavy dose of a torco with the highest grade they have if I can't limp to a better station. I put on about 1700 miles last year with this setup. All dynoed and setup by Allen.

How much horsepower does your sled make with that setup? What range are you getting to a tank of gas?

Hurricane performance

I just hung up with Dave a little while ago. He's going to let me know what you end up with so we can make the sled works for you.
