Has anyone run both on a trail set up? I am curious about the power, reliability. I am thinking it would be awsome to run both at the same time.
I'm already thinking about the mods for my RTX towards the end of this season or during the summer. Any help or advice would be great.

Has anyone done this? I am curious to know before I invest in something that won't be trail freindly or dependable.

What are those? I'm new to this world of knowledge so want to learn everything I can before I buy and install this stuff. Thanks for the help.

you can run about 22 pounds of boost before Rods are needed.
This has been proven over the last 2 years of trail, mountain, and race testing.
How much power are you looking to make with the NOS and the SC?

Just get a turbo, then you won't need the NOS, LOL

I would hate to be the ginny on this one. I was hoping maybe someone else out there has tried this. I don't want to go with a turbo because I understand they are much louder than stock as to a S/C uses the stock exhaust system with factory levels. I've had piped sleds forever, time to have a creeper. ( Other than the guages on the dash) Plus, I think the S/C and nos combo would waste a turbo, if tuned correctly. I do want a trail sled sled that is around 250hp or better on pump gas.( if possible)

cpr front mount turbos are quieter than stock and have proven to make the highest hp possible. 250 on pump gas is a far stretch. some companies will tell you its possible, we aren't going to mislead you. we currently hold two world records with our frt mount turbo so we know how to make hp. 220 for a short distance is all your going to see out of a stock engine, 240 with low compression pistons. we stock rods, pistons, studs, and everything else you can imagine for the yamaha 4 strokes. jeff

I'm very suprised that there is no talk of timing control on these engines. You guys talk lowered compression a awful lot, which is a factor with running high boost but being able to control the timing is just as important. I'm assuming that for pump gas, we could run a few more psi if we were able to crank the timing back a few degrees under boosted conditions. For applications as boost plus nitrous, retarding the timing would be a MUST. You will hear people say that using nitrous will 'cool the intake charge', which it will, but you don't hear what it does to your cylinder pressures...this is where timing comes into play.

Jeff,
I'll most likely be in touch when I am ready, then. I've just always heard the Turbos were louder than stock, which is what I do not want. So, what would be the norm HP on pump gas for all day trail riding. Around 230hp? I suppose, I wouldn't need any NOS to go with that. Do you think 220-230 hp is plenty for the trail, or will I get bored? lol
You are here in Wi. right? I would probably have you instal it. Guages and all.

travis, we use the mc4 ignitions to control spark on the race engines. we stock and sell the complete bolt on and programmed mc4 system for 1500.00 they work awesome, but most trail riders don't need to go to that level. jeff

1crazysledder, i like the sleeper effect also, quieter is better, we release the kit at 195 hp in its lowest hp form, (it will go to 280hp) we have run this set-up back to back for 1 mile stretches with excellent results. you can easily go to 220 hp for shorter distances. you just have to be alittle more careful if running pump gas. 220 hp on my dyno is like 250 hp on others, so no you won't get bored and yes we will do the install, were by milw wi. and nos is not needed. jeff

Kool. Your not far away at all. Hour and a half if that. I'm going to enjoy my stock form this season and afterwards, sometime during the summer, we'll get together and transform my RTX.
