Supercharger

It is an 05 RX.

Yes there was two of us, but with one it would not have taken much more time. We were being very careful and both reading the instructions to make sure we understood everything correctly.
I finished yesterday. I didn't take any pictures as the ones on MP site are as good as I could have taken.
I would say that if I was to do another one, it could be done in 8 hrs for sure. I don't think it could be done in 4 though.
I am only stating the turbo install time as relayed to me. I have never installed one. Maybe both of us are just too careful when installing them
:-) I will ask him today what he thinks the comparison in install time is.
Going to test it today. Riding with a Bender stage 2. I'll post tonight or the morning the outcome.
I could not have been more pleased after my 5 mile test run!!!!

How's the exhaust noise compared to the Bender? Pretty quiet I'll bet. That would make it easier to sneak up on the 2 strokes.

Come on post some pics! So we all know your not some little kid having some fun on a forum.

#$%&* we want to know how it is on a trail powering up out of the corners too... not just flat out drag racing :rocks: :yam:  ...ok powdernuts

whats the web site address?
sounds cool

u should post ur own pics so we can see her in action

Wasn't there a post where they had called Mtn. Perf. and inquired about the Supercharger? He was told they hadn't even had time to put it on the dyno and the person he talked to didn't seem real knowledgable.
Isn't this like putting the cart before the horse?

I hate to say it, but I have a hairline fracture in the driven gear for the blower. The pulley will not stay tight with this condition. I am calling MPI this morning to talk to them about this problem. I may be down for a while.
Hopefully someone else here has recieved their kit and installed it.
I will get a short video as soon as I am running again.
To answer a previous question: I blew the stealth mode when I installed a lightweight exhaust on the sled, so I don't know how it would sound with the stock exhaust.

That sucks. I hope they take care of you. Please let us know how it progresses with them.

Yes, I called MPI and talked to some KID. He proceeded to tell me that they had only dynoed the sled on 50/50 blended fuel and it made 231 hp. However he said they have never dynoed the sled on pump gas. He said there are about 15 units out there in customers hands. Beyond that that was about all I could get out of him. It was like I had to prompt him with a question every time to get a 3 word answer. He can't be very good for sales for them. Pwdrnut - is there anyone in particular that you speak to when you call there about your system, because there is no way you can be getting tech support from this kid. The sad part is that I am very interested in the system but after talking to him I am already disappointed.

I have always liked the Supercharger thing, but at this point it might be wise to wait til next year. Let it shake out a bit. It is alot of money to spend if it runs into problems.

I talked to Mac this morning. They are taking care of it. He said it is possibly an install issue that caused the crack.
I am bringing it to the guy he suggested on Sunday and repairing it. He overnighted the parts today so they will be there on Saturday. I'll be on the snow quick.
That is customer service!!
The one item that I did not particuarly care for on the install was the oil tank. I am one of the 6 people that have this particular tank. The other one is slightly smaller and should solve the issue I had. Therefore, for anyone purchasing the kit now, it should be a non-issue. The tank was a little to low in the bellypan.
I also had an issue with the location of the starter solenoid. I am going to discuss it when we are doing the repair.
I'll be posting again on sometime after Sunday.
