Guys. Been real busy clutch testing as our snow sucks
I had a hard time getting drag n flies to match the stock weights top end but this weekend after about a gazzilion different set ups I got there.
So now I got acceleration plus top speed.
The only difference is a helix change.

set up is as follows
red hc primary spring
1 bolt & 5 washers in arm(4 washers will give better backshift but slow acceleration)
centre empty
overdrive empty
3 gram bolt in tip
47/43 helix stock secondary setting
Comes out at 8200 & climbs to 8900 & sticks
hit 102 mph in 1000-1200' on speedo

If anyone likes the 2 speeds I got them working about the same with out a helix change
38/20 2 speeds
black hc primary spring
1 bolt & 1 washer in heel
remainder of weight empty
stock secondary set up.
very very similar results as drag n flies
10 hours on these 2 set ups!!!!

Turk, thanks for all your work and sharing.

this is interesting,,,,I am running the Drag&Fly (60 gram weight base) with 3 bolts and 3, 1.0 gram washers each, in the body, and nothing in the arm, and it holds at 8500 perfectly (on hard pack). I was running the bolt and 4, 0.5 gram washers in the arm, but it over-reved to 8700, so I removed them. This is in a Bender ported Vforce3 reeded 02SRX.

I started a thread on the SRX side about this motor and its hp, and was told that porting and reeds are worth 7 hp.

This tends to confirm in my mind the increase advertised with porting and reeds. BTW, I am also running a roller secondary that requires less primary weight that a button clutch, all else being equal.

what I meant to communicate is that it is advertised as a 15 hp increase for porting/reeds, and the general consensus is that it is only worth 7. I think it is making all of 15 or more given the weight it now swings. (I am also using the red HC spring).

I like the 2 speed set up better but feel more comfortable with the drag n flies.
