Has anyone changed the water pump on their SW? Does the motor need to be pulled to get at it?

I experienced temp spike then went into limp mode. Found the reservoir bottle was empty but the coolant system was still under pressure. Added water to the bottle. After a couple attempts the temp went back to normal long enough to get back home. 30 miles later temp spike again.

After reading some of the other posts on TY I’m thinking it’s the water pump. And of course we have a big ride planned next weekend...
Any help or comments would be appreciated

IMO, if the water pump wasn't working there is no way the sled would go 30 miles without overheating. In fact, it probably wouldn't go one mile.

You you have a leak by chance check the rubber hoses in tunnel going to cooler

you might have air lock, Bleed your system.

Bleed/fill cooling system. Check to make sure oil level isn't getting higher as you add coolant.

I fought this this weekend after no issues earlier this season. Yesterday I could hear the motor coolant and the coolers were cold to the touch. After a few minutes thinking it through I cracked the cap and let it bubble into the overflow tank. Started it and it immediately started circulating and cooler was warm. In about 10 feet it dropped under 200 and was its normal 165-170 within a half mile. Hoping that solves my issue.
