Hello All,
I've finally decided to take the plunge. (Veedy's Boost movie convinced me
) I've been a cat guy my whole life.
I've decided to go with an apex and would like some input on which turbo kit to go with.
Are 06 and 07 apexs virtually identical?
I ride from 8500 on up past 10,000ft.
I want a very reliable kit. I don't have a problem mixing or running race gas. I don't want to get into the motor (pistons etc) this year. Is 260hp realistic on stock internals while running the correct fuel?
Thanks!

I haven't heard of a MCK failing, in fact most of them say they never even wrench on them. It is of course one of the most time consuming to install but seems to be worth it.

skunk75 - Yes it a is realistic # on the MCX 260+ HP kit at sbout 12 lbs, other kits as Simons CPR puts out HP on the same level.
Reimond - That would be a MCX310 kit. The kit adds low compression 10:1 pistons and a thicker head gasket to run 17.5 lbs on premium. It puts out 310+ HP on the dyno.
I haven't heard of any MCX kits failing, but I have heard of engines failing (running mcx kits) caused by too much boost on too low octane fuel tho. Those failures would go into the owner/driver error account.
