Honestly I'm big on the nytros and I just bought my viper last year.. my knees feel the same on either sled. I'm 6'1". I almost like the nytro better at some times. depends what I am doing. I just don't like the hadling of the nytro that is my only complaint.

I plan to add the Star kit this summer and have the shocks done over...I've read alot of good things about the Star upgrade, that'll improve the handling. You never know, I might hold onto it for awhile.

I'm 6'2 and love the position. Most comfortable I've ever been. I could use a bit of rise in the handlebars for standing up but it doesn't bother me much.

I'm about 6'1" and this sled fits me better than any other one I have ridden. I put a 9 in riser on and can easily move from standing to sitting with no effort.

I'm 6'2" and love the Viper seating position. I use my knees more 'hugging' the sled and love it. It took me awhile to stop thinking , there I go again knees on the cowl now I use it as another feel and hold point. No knee pain from to flexed like after some long days on my Apex.

6'3" and it fits me well. It is all stock so far. Have had no problems with rider position.
Only problem is that my wife has taken over the sled, pushing me back to the Phazer when we go on rides together. She wants to try the Gaspe loop next season.
I'm looking at getting a Ltx Dx for her while the 0% deals are on.

Is the Mtx. Seat a bit higher and firmer or are they all the same?

The MTX has the bullet seat and its taller then the standard seat. The 2015 XTX came with bullet seat also not sure about 2016. You really need to sit on a MTX with the bullet seat and the tall vertical steering and I think that you will find your match. Even if youy buy a different model viper you can still easily add the MTX's vertical steering and bullet seat to any viper.

I agree with yamahaguys.
I have ridden my buddies Vipers. Great sled but compared to my nytro with wrp and oft relocate - the viper seat is soft and the stock bars on it are too low for me. I am 5'11".
If I got a viper I would raise the bars 2" and try and get the moutian seat so my legs are stretched out further. Then it would be a much better set up to ride standing.
Right now, I still prefer the riding position of my nytro vs the stock viper.

Thanks for all the helpful info, would definitely put a riser on a viper and make sure it had the taller mtn. seat, especially for my preference.

Do you ride trail or off trail?

Mostly on trail, some off trail, a little bit of exploring. Adding the WRP seat to the Nytro was night and day, I like sitting high.Do you ride trail or off trail?

If you do some off trail I would definitely look into adding the MTX vertical steering rather than buying a riser. The problem with the standard steering post and riser is when you turn hard to the right or left the tips of the handlebars are at your knees where the vertical steering bars stay level in the turn. This helps when standing and riding. Find a MTX at a dealer and sit on it,you'll be glad you did. I'm just about as tall as you are in this setup the most comfortable sled I've ever owned.

So mtn seat actually is higher? I don't thing a dealer within a 10-15hour drive of me would have a mtn sled in stock to even check lol. So it looked higher but wasn't sure if it was or if it was illusion because the seat is shorter.
