The MTX has the bullet seat and its taller then the standard seat. The 2015 XTX came with bullet seat also not sure about 2016. You really need to sit on a MTX with the bullet seat and the tall vertical steering and I think that you will find your match. Even if youy buy a different model viper you can still easily add the MTX's vertical steering and bullet seat to any viper.

Anyone have an idea if the 2016's came with the Mtn. Seat like the 2015 did? Anyway to find that out? I have a line on a couple of 16's and I'd like to know if they'd come equipped with the mtn seat.

What Model Vipers are you looking at? If your looking at the 2016 XTX's no they did not get the bullet seat according to Yamaha web site.

Oh sorry, a 2016 Viper XTX LE. I wasn't aware that the mtn seat was installed on the 15 xtx' sand I was wondering if it would be on the 16's

2016 XTX's did not get the bullet seat according to Yamaha web site. so you would have to add the seat.

Unless your buying a 2016 MTX your not going to get the bullet seat So you would just need to buy one from your dealer and switch it out. Look at the 2016 MTX's and the XTX,s on the yamaha web site and you will see the difference on the rear of the seat. Notice the MTX's seat looks chopped off or shorter towards the rear of the seat this is the taller bullet seat. Its hard to tell that its taller in the pictures but it is.

I just bought a new 2015 XTX and while that seat looks tall, it is like sitting on a marshmallow. I'm talking with Renazco Racing about having it rebuilt.

I am surprised you say it feels like your sitting on a marshmallow. I think its prefect, I have a friends that says his seat is too hard, and you say its to soft. 3 different opinions. lol Maybe they used different foam in some of them? Nice sleds btw!

Thanks! Both me and one of my techs went out and bought new sleds last week. Of course as soon as we did, the temperature went way up and it started to rain.

Anyway, yeah, way too soft.

Hope to sit on xtx this weekend. As I was pricing out my used (19mi) viper I think I'm gonna pick up for next season. I asked about seat price. I believe he said list price was 470-480? Not sure what your dealers do from there for you but it's reasonable

That's pretty steep. I have priced it on line for $300ish + shipping. I was kicking around switching to the bullet seat......
