I have notice when my light is on I still have 1 gallon left; so far the most gas I put in was 8.5 gallons. So that meant that I had .4 of a gallon left of useable gas. Has anyone run their tank out or lower than that?

I went 130 miles and had 5 liters left and the light just turned on when I pulled up to the pump. Sorry for the liters I live in Canada.

Six is that 130 KM because 5 L is 1.3 gallons and at 130 miles that is 17 miles to the gallon or 7.2 KM/liter and that is great gas mileage. I see between 12 and 14 mpg.

My light was on for 12 miles and I only put in 8.6 gallons. I was worried I was going to run out, but really had 2 gallons left until completely empty.

Blown up the tank only has 8.9 useable galllons you only had .3 of a gallon left to use. The package that the dealer gets with the sled said the sled had a 10 gallon tank but only 8.9 useable go figure

you use miles and liters? must live on the boarder.
Well my first long ride on mine was at the 1st TY ride in Hancock in mid December. I left Hancock with a full tank and ran out of gas 2 miles from Pats Yamaha in greenland. That was just over 83 miles. The first I saw the low fuel light was about 3 miles before it ran out. Later i started getting over 10 mpg but that depends on the right thumb pressure and boost #'s. YamahaTim brought me 2 gallons to get to the gas pump and I still took over 7 gallons. His is turboed and he made it to the pump and only took 7 gallons - his thumb is smaller

Good info. I did not know that.
I am running a turbo and am averaging 11 to 11.8 miles per gallon and I am not easy on the throttle. I guess I will not run it that close again....ha ha.

All literature says 10.6 gal, until the sled came out. The 2015 also say 10.6 some places, 10 in others. My mileage is 12-12.5, about 1 mpg worse than my Apex?????

Make sure when filling that you burp the tank by standing on the rear bumper...I get about .5 gallons more after that. That is another 5-8 miles!

It is even more when the tank is empty when filling up I put in almost a gallon. The first time I did it I could not beleave it and I think because of this everyones MPG is all over the place.

This is good so we can get over 9 gallons out of the tank my MPG ranges from 12 to 14 MPG depending on the thumb. LOL

American gallon is 3.8 litres and a Canadian gallon is 4.5 litres. Just saying. Need to know that when computing mpg

My wife and I were out on a trip so we were not pushing hard. Mostly 60 mph I would squeeze it ones in a while to take away the boredom. When I'm out with the boys I don't see numbers like that.
