Hey, guys..... Any reason why I can't zip tie the AFPR to the fuel rail? Then run a remote gauge out to the coolant bottle.
Note: Gap innovations ram Air leaves little options.

I mounted my FPR to the side of the gap ram air intake.

Nice move....I like that. The only reason I was trying to put it up on top of the fuel rail is I wouldn't have to redo my return back to the fuel slipper. Yes, I'm the laziest! Lol! Ask anyone who knows me.

Does the heat shield get installed after the header, then just notched top and bottom?
Or you just slide The shield over the expansion end and clearance it to fit?

And for guys considering a header install don't forget to add two hours, one of which will be rolling adhesive boogers trying to get the surface prepped for new heat tape that's all deteriorated.

Yup. Been there done that. Took about 3 beers to get it done. Did this back in 2018 and it still looks great, still stuck good, not getting burned off. Hardest part was cleaning the old glue from factory junk off.And for guys considering a header install don't forget to add two hours, one of which will be rolling adhesive boogers trying to get the surface prepped for new heat tape that's all deteriorated.

I covered much larger area than factory too. Don't want to heat up gas or the tank!

That's my goal right there. Amazon's about 7 days out on thermal tech.Yup. Been there done that. Took about 3 beers to get it done. Did this back in 2018 and it still looks, still stuck good, not getting burned off. Hardest part was cleaning the old glue from factory junk off.

Luckily I was able to catch Napa today and I'll have it for tomorrow.
I pray it comes out like you did....

For comparison, look at the tiny amount of foil the factory puts on! And, they use just a single thin adhesive backed foil basically just like tin foil. The ThermoTec stuff is much thicker incorporating actual thermal insulation into multi layers. Much better. That's my goal right there. Amazon's about 7 days out on thermal tech.

Not going to lie, the only thing I could find is the 1.5" x 15' rolls. Will that do??For comparison, look at the tiny amount of foil the factory puts on! Or should I just wait and get the blanket?

IMO, need the blankets. That 1.5" width won't work worth a &#%t! It'll be a total mess trying to attach thin strips like that. Not going to lie, the only thing I could find is the 1.5" x 15' rolls. Will that do??

Turboflash, for goal purposes, how many individual PCs did it take to cover all this? Then I'm assuming you lapped all the joints?

It took 2 of those 12" x 24" blankets. If you look close at the pic, you can see how I laid them out on tank. Basically 3 sections. It "forms" pretty well to contours. I bought a can of their heavy duty spray adhesive which helps enhance the adhesion to the plastic tank. Once glued, you can't get it off. Yes, two blankets. Anything else I should consider? Covering hoses or heat barrier on chain case. Any other problem areas that need consideration?
