Anybody run a Team roller on their RX-1? Is it a good mod? What kind of benefits were made?
Thanks

yes i did put a hauck speed sheave on at the end of the season, but it droped my overall rpms and i have been fighting to get it tuned back up to where i had my best speed,it did get better, but my combo of hc weights and the team, plus the speed ring,it was alittle to much to soon, but it is getting better,i was surprised to find the moveable sheave had a huge wear mark at the starting ratio on bottom of clutch,it wasent real noticeable, when clutch was installed, but when i took it apart it was,my dealer said it was normal wear, and yammi will not warrenty it,oh well, story of my life, but the team clutch is awsome, but team will sell the rx1 set up clutch w/there owne helix/spring combo, they say yamaha wants the motor to pull 9,500 - 9,800 and slowly shift out to 10,000-10,200 i dont agree,i wanted mine to shift quickly to 10,000 - 10,500 and if u just drill out the tip rivet on primary, plus team it goes to 10,300 now,but i think my helix is 54/36 54/34 w/a new spring not sure about color i will get back to you on that if u need that info,i like mine thats all i can say. 8)

Team recommended the 54/38 54/40 helix, red/blue spring and stock primary. I was thinking about going with this setup, but with either HC or HH weights. I am currently researching options, but definitely want a roller secondary. Any other insights are greatly appreciated.

leeko,i know tean recomends those helis choices, remember i said that is what they would recomend, but i feel it will drag your rpms down to far from the peak rpm range for top end running, and i would only use h.c. w/the team for drag racing only, try h.h. w/a 54/36 54/34 i will let you know what color spring i am using,i dont use the stock yammi rx1 primary spring either i use a g/g/g or g/w/g w/3 shims for hc and will still use g/g/g w/out shims w/hh.
