Has anyone tried a team roller secondary on a turbo RX1? I would like to try 1 but have no idea where to start with helix angles. This will be used on a full weight sled with Northeast Turbo Kit at say 16 to 20#'s boost. Any help or insight would be great. Thanks

Thanks pete, what helix angles are you using?

If you are looking for top speed as in a trail/radar runner then I could never get the team to run the kind of MPH the stock cluch would but the team does out accellerate it.

a7m266d, I have used one on my ski-doo and it worked excellent for 660', or 1000' drags, but never could get it to mph like the stock clutch on radar runs. I need better bite on the belt out of the hole because I can't keep the secondary clutch from slipping above 14psi. This is on my full weight sled on ice 660' or 1000'. My best radar speed so far in 1200' at 14psi easing into it for 100' or so is 138 mph. I won't bother with E.T.'s till I can get it to leave.

Thanks pete

I tried one most of last year and the beginning of this year. Played with many helixes and gave up becase of the cost of the helixes. However, for the type of riding I do a straight 47 or 48 degree helix might have worked the way I would want it too. I was was not overly impressed with the performance myself. IMO the roller rooster secondary is a better clutch than the Team secondary (I've ran both and the Roller Rooster runs way cooler). My brother has also tried both on his turbo RX-1 and feels the same as I do. (he is running the Advant-Edge roller secondary)

team clutch

The team has worked great for me. But they are smaller in Dia then the yamaha clutch is, so you will lose a little low end gearing.

Works for me...22/40 gearing...Apex Mountain...;)!

11,000rpm...10lbs boost @ 8000ft...65-70mph track speed...instant up and back shifts.

TEAM 56/46 full rate helix...120lb/240lb Red/Black spring

P85...60g Supertips...70lb/210lb Brown spring
