1. Radiator Delete - tested over the weekend on marginal snow at 41 degrees first day and 51 degrees the next. Scratchers down and 160 to 200. Girlfriends Viper with radiator ran the same.
2. Removal of stock front skid spring (110 pounds) and replace with 135 pound spring. Sled now steers like power steering and lifts the skis at will, no downside I could see only upside. Adjustment collar now 1/3 the way up instead of 2/3 the way up with stock. Can somebody get the part number off the 2015 front skid shock to see if Yamaha put the 110 or 135 spring in it?
3. Camoplast 162 track X3 (3 inch lugs). Amazing traction, will do 75mph on hard pack but is not happy doing it. Not at all happy on fast turns on the trail but it wasn't designed for that. Slow going in trees with bottomless snow it really rocks. Carving it is not as happy as it has so much traction it tries to force sled straight. Overall I really like it but if I had to do it again I would go Powerclaw 2.6

Did you put any other means of cooling with the radiator delete or are you just running the bulkhead cooler and nothing else

Running the bulkhead cooler only like a 2014 Arctic Cat M8 does, and like it you have to drop scratchers on hard pack. I found I did not need scratchers off the road in snow unless crawling along a narrow trail.

great info. I have viper le , I like to hit a few bumps onthe trail once and awhile, suspension is not working very well tried pumping up shocks still jaw breakin out of control feeling. Do you have any comments on that. Steeringis very heavy like you said but I still own a apex.

If you have an XTX or an MTX putting the 135 pound spring in should solve your heavy steering issue. It did mine.
