Just picked up a tether cord for my 05 RX-MTN. no instructions with it.
What wires do I splice into for it to work? Colors and location.

From the Tech Manual of an '04 Rx-1, I suggest the below:
Assuming the tether switch opens the circuit when pulled, I would try to get into the Red/Yellow wire before or after the ignition fuse. I suppose you could get into the Brown/White wire someplace after the ignition switch. But, the Red/Yellow is very accessable right by the fuse block.
In either case, you cut the wire and install the switch such that it completes the circuit when the cord's cap is installed.
Again, this is from an '04 Rx-1 schematic.
