Just a quick note to avoid any real interfearance. The yamaha dealer put 2 v clips on Marks sled and we test fit the belt last night and it hits the side cover in 2 places.
Try to keep the clips to the inside of the cover closest to the frame. This avoids interfearence.

Spare Belt Holder
The pic is not terribly clear. I used two clips and they worked fine. Just be careful of rivet length if installing two. Long rivets appear close to top of belt of secondary clutch. I used shorter rivets near the secondary and slightly longer ones up front near the primary. Has worked great so far.

It's obvious you haven't tried to get the belt out of the bag after a day of riding when the bag is under an inch of ice and the zipper is frozen closed. Placing it in the bag is that easy, getting it out is not. I would have paid to spend 5 minutes alone with the jack *** that came up with that idea the night I blew a belt and spent an hour changing it.

I finally did this after needing to get the spare belt out of the bag...impossible if the front is packed with snow.
Like mentioned above, keep your clips close to the inside of the cover. I used two and kept both on the far inside edge. If you put them in the middle the belt will hit the sidepanel.

For those people who are really perticuler order the ones off a 2006 nytro they are aluminium

I think its becuase the Nytro is Yamaha's race sled. Racers don't need to carry around spare belts. I also think they didn't put the a/c jack in the front for the same reason, because its Yamahas race sled. Even though Yamaha did know (or I hope they knew) that people would be buying the Nytro more for trail riding rather then racing. They should of put both the belt holder and the a/c jack in but I think thats the reason IMOP.
Have had mine there since day one. 2200 miles later it's still there.Doesn't seem to have caused any problems so far.EsonPZ said:Maybe it can interfer with the air flow that is supposed to go trough the radiator and out the vents in front of your knees. (longshot)
