Since this was only my third season riding and the RX1 was my first sled, and this site is so frickin great, it has seemed like an exclusive club. I really enjoy the looks and comments from the other brand riders. Especially the 1-ton comments, until you smoke them on the trail. But these new sleds have me concerned. Maybe they are too nice or perfect. There is going to be a lot more on the trails. My sled won't be so exclusive any longer. I know this sounds stupid, but I really like being the only Rx1 at the gas stop. Or the best is on the TY rides when a Pack of us are going balls out down a trail or are all parked outside a bar, pretty damn cool. I just hate the fact that a lot of these idiot riders and stupid bashers are going to part of our EXCLUSIVE TY CLUB. My black and chrome sled is unique, and I had a lot of great comments on it, now some guy from Minn. will get all of those comments. He better appreciate what I've sold him or I come and take it back. A little of sellers remorse I guess.

Looks like an Appex GT for me also. I cant imagine a sled I don't have to customize or mod to make ride better. Hell, I don't even have to polish the tunnel. I can't wait until next season.

I hope the Nitro does fly for Yamaha's sake. Since I've been a member hear, every year at new model release, most everyone says Yamaha missed the boat because they did not release a ditch banger. So here it is. Good luck Yamaha and thanks for listening.

Indy,
I have to agree with your comments, I have the blue 03 and tons of custom work done to it. I get the comments all the time on how sweet looking it is, i even let others drive so I can look at it in action. I know, pathetic. Isn't it fun to blow by the others(in a safe location), the absolute look of amazement on the faces of the none believers makes me chuckle everytime. But were in the same boat, I have the Gt on order and I noticed I can't even polish the tunnel! But I have faith that I may be able to bling something on it! Oh what a dilema to have!!!! ;)! I can't wait to ride these things!

Don't worry though thanks to the limited build of the GT, you will still stand out for at least one more year! :yam:

I am going up to ride with some guys on the weekend and I will be converting a few over I'm sure, as I will be the only one on a Yamaha and just to be nice I'll let them try it out!!!! But not for to long :ORC

Don't be so sure, go look at my poll, the GT is by far the over whelming choice.

A few dealer's in Ontario have already filled there allowed quota for the GT. Even the Yamaha brochure states that the GT is a limited quantity build, so for those that think this is the one they want then I suggest they better get on the band wagon. Maybe the demand will urge Yamaha to build more but I doubt it.
I am not sure if the limited build applies to the states though.

What my dealer told me was this; "Limited build" simply means Yamaha will only build enough to cover spring orders. They will make as many as they need to fill those orders, simply no extra's. He confirmed this with his rep.
The only extra's anybody will find will be sleds that were spring ordered and the buyer backed out.

Hmmm,
interesting Fuelie, firstly don't get me wrong I am not trying to argue with you, but when I ordered mine i was able to be one of the first. The dealer is one of Yammie's biggest in Ont. and he was only able to order 3 and his rep is looking around for more from other dealers. Just what I was told.
Hopefully your right as it appears from your poll that they should be able to spring order a pile of them.

i talked to a few dealers and Yam is producing as many as are spring ordered. they are not limited but only by that fact.

My understanding is that yamaha will build all spring orders PLUS dealers will be limited on any extras they would order.
By the way ,do all the 150's have the new speedo?(or just the GT)
Is the clock in the speedo going to be a constant draw on the battery?

All Apex's and the Attak get the speedo and the clock won't draw squat for power.

Hey Mighty,
Yup you are correct, I verified again this morning and Yammie apparently is going to build as many as needed for spring order's. I agree with you aswell that any left over to purchase next year will more than likely be sleds that spring order buyers had to back out on or at least very few extras available.

Indy, you may have a bigger group of Yamaha Owners out there... but there is still no one like the TY Group Riders....;)!

I say the more Yamaha owners there are in this world the better!
Yamaha has survived having a large number of their ownings be the racer wanna-be type (remember back in '97 when the SX came out? A lot of them that I saw all have triple pipes and rode like a complete a-hole. If they were behind you, all you'd hear was "BRAAP BRAAP BRAAP"). I think this will probably happen again. Thats the price of success.
Myself, I think that Yamaha owners in general are some of the finest people that there are in the sport of snowmobiling. For the most part they are the most polite and respectfull of the bunch. They dont need to brag about how fast their sleds are, because their sleds say all that needs to be said. (If youve ever ridden with Cat or Doo loyalists you know what I mean).
I feel honored and privledged to be part of the Yamaha family as well as the TY family.
TY is, in my opinon the best snowmobile site there is!
Keep up the good work MrSled and all the other moderators!
Hebi
