Picked up the new MTX's yesterday. The pics are not the best, I was in a hurry and it was dark. And YES that is Johnny Rocket's pink Barbie jeep in the background..... we are storing it for him!

Congrats!

Nice looking sleds - now all you need is some snow

Too bad they are not the fast color. WTF?
Just jokin. Can't wait to ride that beast.

Congratulations Ray and Christie!

I finally got to see a Nytro for the first time today. They had a black Skidoo Everest 154", a Blue Nytro MTX and a red Polaris Dragon 700 all sitting side by side. The Skidoo sold while I was there but you know which one I liked! The Skidoo's throttle pull feels like it has twin 44 mm carbs. The Polaris felt and almost looked "retro" sitting next to the other two.

Ray I imagine your's will be turboed and Christie's will be semi stock?

Man, if I hadn't just put a 162" camo extreme on my RX-1. I bought a high rise Boss seat and now it's the Wildchild rider forward mod I'd just LOVE to have a Nytro MTX. The wife has said she knows I will be getting something new in the not too distant future. I'd sure love to ride your's some time.

Take care

Yeah, looking at a turbo for mine. I'm so excited that I want snow NOW!!!

You are of course welcome to come down and ride them both anytime you want. We are doing the Presidents weekend ride again this year, but you and Jon can come down anytime though.

Thanks Ray.

Take a look on the RX-1 Mountain forum. I posted the winter forecast from NOAA's website. It looks like McCall should be the center of the snow universe for the Pacific Northwest (if they are correct). Let's hope.

Yes, I do miss coming to McCall. I did some other trips but they just weren't as much fun as hanging out at your house.

Take care

Frosty

PS: I was suprised to see what appears to be some low hanging fruit as far as weight savings on the Nytro MTX. Aren't the rear drop down brackets still steel? There's a couple pounds. The exhaust weight I'm sure will be cut by at least 1/3 by some enterprising company. The rear bumper. Isn't it still steel as well? I could see nearly 25 lbs. coming off with a few parts changes.

Not trying to steel this thread but that sounds like a great idea. Being you get snow way before we do maybe we could have a pre-presidents day ride. Would be a blast.

I'm up for that.

Frosty and I better starting doing squats cause riding with Jon always seems to go like this

I knew that was coming. If I remember correctly my sled wasn't up to par that day. Still was a fun day.

That sounds good to me too Jonny Rocket, you thread stealing bugger!

Now on to our regularly scheduled Nytro MTX discussion.....................
