third ride report with The Extreme

The Extreme still rules the roost!

Everywhere I have gone this year the sleds doing the best had Extremes.

The mavericks seem to spin a lot and wear out quickly but the extremes just grip and provide ski lift everytime you nail the throttle.

Gotta love this track!

Frosty

Extreme still rules, but i have so much problem. Ratcheting with Wahls, put some Avid, got it to ratchet yesterday. New chain and Gear, already have wear on it, second one this year. All bearing are new one. H-arm is'nt broken, track is somewhat tight, Drive shaft look good. Driver seem to wear more on the chaincase side.

Can the driveshaft move from side to side.

Its ratchet only when sled slowdown when climbing and still move forward.

when Track speed is between 40 and 45 mph i got no problem, but as soon track speed come down near to 25 mph ,i will see ratcheting.

25 mph is low, but with the Extreme, is still climb enough to keep me to get stuck and turn down. (very deep stuff and steep)

Now, yesterday it seem to ratchet once (sled was on her tail andskis pointing sky on a climb.

1000 $ in new parts this week and still may have problem

Did you try to tighten your limiter straps ? I wonder if on the decel the track is wrapping around the drivers for some reason ? I have the exact sled you do but I went with 2.3 paddle and it does hook up like a muthu f......

my limiter strap are tighten a lot, first to stop the Wheelie and second ratchet.

2.3 is 2.52, no problem with ratchet.

But update, today i give it some severe abuse and i dont got ratcheting. Was happy about taht.
