Those with MPI supercharged Apex's, questions?

I am sooooo looking at this as an option.

I want it for trail and tar - been racing my entire life, drag racing that is. This year will be my first adventure with a sled on tar.

I think once all the snow is gone and the rush is over Im going to give Skyler a call and just pick his brain for a while. I hope running the sled in the 9s is as exciting as running low 7s in a car

hey kevin you will love a s/c, i know i absolutely love my kit. mpi's is super easy to install, i couldnt believe how detailed the install instructions were and how nice everything fit. the only thing i would change would be the fuel delivery, the stock box just simply not adjustable enough, you can make them run ok but i have been working on my pc111 on the kit and im not done but it already runs smoother than the stock box ever did! btw the customer service at mpi is really really great!

13 MPG. Cdn Gallon . [11 to a US Gallon]

05 RX1 . 5 lbs boost.

Pump Gas, Stock motor.

100 miles to a tank. Some hard trail runnin, some moderate running, Some racin, kickin the complete crap out the other guys top dogs.

Factory MPI set up. No tweaks.

It's kind of funny you guys at MPI come out with a blow off and don't inform your customers personally. You must have a list of superchargers you have sold. Why not contact them directly, with any upgrades. I'm almost wishing I went another route. I used to run the 835 kit you where selling, and had nothing but problems. Guess its my fault should have learn't from my mistakes.

Sibola - if you have any problems with a product you bought from MPI you better take it directly with them, not here on TY. However you are free to tell us how the product performed, good or bad.

We will protect our paying advertisers..... They help keeping this site up and running :)

rxrider- my apolagies it wasn't my intent to air dirty laundry. It was to let other people know my expierence, so they could make a better decission of which route they might want to go.

MPI is the best hp / per $$$$ performance you can buy , I have spend thousands of dollars on aftermarket junk for 20 years , MPI works , reliable and fast , just run boost to match what fuel you can buy / carry etc !!

We also travel for 3/5 days each ride , and have to buy fuel from whoever has it ! 5lbs is ok for any fuel , more is Russian roulette if traveling , we can't always even get premium.
5 LBS gets 200 hp stock motor ! Best ride you can get traveling !!

My second full season sc , 6000km trouble free , all stock MPI, their fuel controller GEMS , works well , yes with BOV from Ted.

Way I ride a 2008 stage 2 with 10psi, stock motor with head shim. Run 91 oct. The best milage I've got was 55 miles to a tank with a heavy thumb. But my fuel controller ain't set up the best, I'm sure I'm running rich from the bottom to the top. I don't have a blowoff valve yet.

Dont know I bought the sled after the season was over and am going through it now. I have it set up for 10psi on pump its just a stage 1. Running 10:1 CR I was hoping for 100 miles a tank but I can manage if i dont get that.

the absolute best mileage i ever got was 10.3 here is wisconsin, that was on 8 lbs of boost, strictly trail ridden on that tank, no lake running at all, i would say i averaged around 9 with a low right at 8mpg
