I am torn between an AAEN exhaust and a EXCELL but there is a third....

Its a Barker Slip On from Jokersracing.

So, whats the preferred pipe for the 07 phazer?

I dont care about the noise level at this time. I guess quality is more important than db at the moment.

If anybody had some real world comparison info that would be great.

Not doing much, if any off trail deep snow stuff. Trails in Wi are windy tight in spots, opening up to the occasional farmers field. If off the trail, it will be on a closed course snox track.

Thanks guys

a new one? If so, youre a lucky man. I looked and looked and had to settle for a used one and I consider myself lucky for finding that one.

So, you have one? Whats the verdict? WAY better than stock? Obviously, its better, but in what way?

@Cannondale... Whats the thought on that AAEN?

Anyone out there with the Barker?

Aaen quality and performance gain is second to none.

x2

Just wish muffler body was a couple inches longer to quiet it down

Note-Aaen pipe does not exit straight out the back. It kinda goes out at an angle
Not sure if that'd bother you.

My second choice was Schmidt Bros single. Awesome looks & a bit quieter than Aaen. Not as much hp but still a significant weight loss. Should have used it in hindsight

Good luck.

Buy the Barker since I don't believe anyone on here has one. That way we can get a first hand account of how they perform, weight savings and sound levels. I thought about saving up for the Barker, but i'd like to hear it first.

For power I know the Aaen works. You will have to clutch to keep off the revlimiter after putting it on.I wish it were stainless and I wish it were quieter.

Are you seeing rust on the thing or whats the dealeo? I talked with Aaen today and they said it was silver ceramic coated. Is it flaking off or anything like that? I know yours was a development model. Did you get the coating?
Are you currently running this exhaust?

I like the idea of Aaens pipe fitting the same as the stocker, with the back muffler cone. Thats whats kinda shying be away from the other brands right now... but...

Aaen wants $449
and Barker wants $408

I do like the Barker sound... cant get a real good sound clip of a Aaen in action.

I will post a couple pics of the Aaen to show you. Stock muffler cup wont look as nice as it sounds...you'll see why

Thanks Mike. I did check out your short clip with the kids ;) but I need a bit more. I also checked out cannondale's clips. But his was in a garage on a stand.

If I can keep the thing looking stock, in the exhaust thats a good thing...

My single Aaen held up well.Yes it was just painted black. You are right better off having it look stock.

Checked them out mike :)

I like how it sounds.

Here is another wrench in the machine.

How about a HMF slip on? Its half the price. Think its half the performance?
