My thumb warmer on my 2011 nytro only seems to warm up slightly and never gets hot. It is getting 12V at the connector and the heating element is showing 41 ohms. The handgrip is 7 ohms. I cannot find a fuse and there are no codes on my machine. Battery is fully charged.
I just bought the machine so I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but 41 ohms seems pretty high. If this is not normal, is there any way to fix it? It is $100 to replace it when I look it up on line. Supposed to drop to -20C here so it sure would be nice to have my thumb warmer working properly.

I have a 2011 xtx. I added coldguards.com hand guards and I have to turn the thumb and hand warmers down now even at 5 below zero. You should check them out. A lot cheaper then changing your current set-up.

looks interesting. I tried a similar set , but they interfered with the brake lever. Coldguard look a lot better.

yeah. I am able to wear a much thinner glove with these so I have enough clearance with the brake lever. They work great for trail riding.
