i am sure this has been talked about somewhere but I have searched alot and not found anything-2003 rx1 and the thumb warmer doesn't work-any suggestion? One other quick thing-2005 rs rage running down the trail and the check engine light came on and it started missing-pulled over for 5 seconds and started running fine and the light went off-what could that be about? No temp light no oil light or anything else was on-any help would be great!!!!

Check the switch for continuity and make sure power is getting to the grip itself. Here are the pages from the manual on how to check it:

As far as the RS, the check engine light will flash a code as to what is causing the problem. You need to see what that pattern of flashes is and then look it up in the manual. Here are the pages for that:
