BUT.......

What about machj? Others?
He posted Jan 2,2007-machj--"installed my old bars on with the wire from the new bar kit gets hot fast half to go for a ride and see if heat is controlable feels like my buddys rx1 handbar heat this is not tryed and proven yet so use caution if your going to try this theory just throwing this idea out thereseem to work in the shop tryedboth ways with the wire and without the wire it does get hotter with the wire".

It was also hinted at by badluck and a question raised by rafikie in Dec 06
about the wiring.

Dec 8,2006-rafikie-"has anyone attempted to just plug the pigtail in and see if the heaters work better? or would this cause damage?"

Dec 9,2006-badluck-"06 RTX, Did the update based on directions in box. threw code 81(problem in hand warmer circut) removed pigtail and code went away, grips heat up just fine."

Not starting anything just pointing out the facts.
Edit-Giving credit where credit is due.
Everybody involved in any way with bar fix ideas or testing deserves credit. This goes back along way to early 06 and includes washers and foaming ideas.

I may have missed someone as there has only been 10,000 posts about this.
Different wiring was brought up by many along with warnings.

YAM182---You bring up valid points with the other members posts on the handwarmer issue. Somehow I didn't happen to see the other posts, and Dan's went on for many pages that's why I noticed that one the most. I know you're not trying to start something, and I hope I haven't either. I definitely give credit to all of those involved, and shouldn't have singled out one member. Kudos to all!! ;)!
