tipped over shut off right away starts but oil light is on and shuts off again help would be great thanks

My sled did that once. I waited a bit, played with the throttle and it finally started.

If that doesn't work, there is a hose that goes to the airbox. I think on the right side. You pull that off and plug the hose with your thumb while cranking it over. Supposedly it primes the oil pump? Makes no nevermind but it works. Good luck.

Happened to mine too, what I did is tip it on it's left ski/side and started right up and no more light.

Yes Zrxpilot is correct, the oil pump sucked in some air and lost prime. When it looses prime the low oil pressure warning system shuts the engine down to protect it, which is a good thing.

If only a small amount of air got in there sometimes you can tip the sled on it's left side and get it to re-prime. If a larger amount of air was sucked in, then the oil tank needs air pressure applied to it. The air pressure forces oil in to the pump to re-prime it. When you pull the breather tube off and plug it, it traps the crankcase pressure and allows pressure to build up which in turn forces the oil to the pump.

I ride the mountains and at times will tip my sled over several times a day. Either to get unstuck or because I'm getting older and seem to have a natural ability for dumping my sled over!!
To make oil pump re-priming much more convenient I added a Quick-prime switch to the Viper/XF/M7000 Roll-Over valve kits. It allows the rider to re-prime the oil pump by simply pushing and holding a button on the dash for a few seconds! (shameless plug http://fourstrokesolutionsllc.webs.com/ ... ovkits.htm :-)
