Yes, because the oil tank is full I never got an oil light or warning. The noise was faint enough I heard it but didn't think much of it (too late anyways) and was going to check for ice buildup or clutch issues when I came to a stop.
It's very possible sludge or something built up and blocked the screen in the tank....although I changed the oils 400 miles before and that oil was very clean as well.
I imagine hitting bumps in a jarring way caused something.
I will probably never know as I am not testing it down further ....local company is buying to part it out.
Does the sled have coolant in it? Is it possible you had a stud puncture cooler and lost coolant? Oil gets so hot it has no viscosity and then they seize.
