I have about 1/8" toe out on my XTX and was wondering if thats acceptable or within spec? Thanks

Also wondering how should be set. Assuming its prob the same for the 08 FX nytro too...

tow out. 1/8" is ok but you could probably go a little more. I believe the tow spec is in your manual. I'm runnig 3/8" to 1/2" toe out with the ball joint mod and Studboy Deuce war bars on the OEM skis and it handles much better.

8, since everyone else has comented on your Avatar I guess I will too... If your "toe" is like that you better start to tweek it!!!! 

I thought i remembered it to be 3/8". . . .could be wrong however. . . .it"s happened before

I toe'd out my skis 1/2" total (1/4" each ski). This made my sled handle like a charm. I advice every Nytro owner to do it.

that seems like a lot...is there a proper procedure to this or is it as simple as set everything all way in so you know where your starting then just adjust each side equal til you get it where you want?

The really clever way is to run a taut string along one side (or both if you like) of the track and secure it beyond the front of the skis. Then measure from the string to the center of the skis at the tip and tail (make a mark to be consistent). Turn the tie rods in or out until you have the difference you want front-to-back. This method sets the toe-in relative to the track versus each other, which makes more sense to me.
This also assumes you've stripped of the body panels and have access to the rod ends within the frame. You want to tighten the rod end nuts back up when you’re done so they don't wiggle and wear out the threads.

Thats easy enough. The inside nuts are kind of a pain to get to arent they? I have my whole front end off my sled now. Thought it was bent so i ripped it off quik to check and now im putting a new A-arm and spindle setup on so im gonna want to check and make sure the skis are in sync with each other and the rest of the sled.

Right, but the inside nuts are a pain to get at with sled altoghether arent they?

The suggestion is to use only the outboard rod end to set the toe-out leaving the inboard tight. This should be fine unless you have big adjustments to make. Normally, because the rod ends threaded left and right, you loosen the nuts and turn the tie rod to make the adjustment. This allows for finer increments, but probably not so fine as to make a real difference. Just be careful that you retain a minimum of 2 diameters (~16 mm) of the threaded portion of the rod ends engaged with the tie rods. Any less engagement and the connection will be weakened. If you can’t to this you will have to work with the inboard rod end too.

Will do. ill tighten the inside up and just work with the outsides. Thanks
