- 2010 RS VECTOR GT LTX STOCK FOR NOW!
Hello guys I just installed some upgrades to the clutch set up this year and now that I tried to just test it in the shop I noticed the clutch is not kicking in untill almost 5000 rpm. I have never messed with clutching so i dont know if this is normal.
I have a 03 stock motor,151 expert x no studs.
I put in all these clutch parts per a recomendation for my machine..
48.8 base weight heavy hittes with:
7/16 boldt with a thick washer in the center and the tip.
The heel load up the haeviest you can.
14.5 rollers
o-s-o primary spring
silver sec spring
set @ 90* 6-3
52-44 helix from Micro Belmont
Any info and help would be greatly appreciated I dont have any snow yet so all i can do is test things in my shop hanging the rear in the air.
Thanks jdp

I would set the sec to 6-1=70 i think you have the sec to hight
I am no expert by any means but I would say you need to go to a lighter spring to get your clutch to engage sooner with less rpm. After you get your engagement right you will have to add or take off some arm weight to get your WOT rpm where you want at 10200 to 10500.

Thanks guys what should I try first secondary wrap or change out primary spring also which spring should I run in the primary go back to stock????
clutch engagement has nothing to do with the secondary. i would go back to stock and try that.
Put stock spring back in. It will lower the engagement back down to about 3800. I do not know if you have to change weights, as I am no expert.

i'm not an expert either, but putting weight in the center and in the tip seems to counteract each other in my book - i'd lose the center bolt and see how it reacts.
