Anybody else out there want to punch their sled while digging out the tool kit hidden beneath the bumper?
I saw a new MP at a dealer yesterday, the kit is attached to the steering bar. It looks like it may actually impede steering. Anybody out there have a creative solution for quick and pleasent access to the tool kit?

Odd, my original tool kit was inside the top left plastic held in a bracket with a rubber strap as per the attached pic. I remember the strap was always loose and I was afraid of having it drop out. I have since lost the strap and the original plastic tool kit bag has disintegrated. I have a trunk on my sled and keep my tools in there. Sounds like someone swapped the original tool kit for a Phazer's POS bag in between the front A-arms. (my son has one on his GT, the FX has the tunnel mounted box).

My dealer puts the tool kit in the zip pocket of the back seat rest. I know this is an ancient thread but the info might help someone. It seems a little slow here in MP land. Am I still experiencing hallucinations or did we have a thread evaporate?

If you're talking about the thread about solving stuff by buying Doo, it got moved to the Head to Head section.

Good info about the tool kit. I never had the stock rear seat so I didn't even know that pocket existed.

My tool kit is also behind from bumper. Thought that was a very odd place for it. There is not enough room in the zipper of the back rest on mine. I tried to put a small bottle of water in there and it would not fit.
So what kind of repairs is everyone doing to their sleds over the summer?

Mine used to be in the left cowling as per the pic I posted but it wasn't very secure and I lost the strap. Also the flimsy plastic bag has disintegrated. I now keep it in the box or trunk on the rack.

I guess newer ones they did the same as on Phazers without the tunnel belt case, in between the A-arms. Try getting it out when it's iced and frozen there.

I'll go start a separate summer thread.
