Help- I read before but was unable to find the post that described and tool that would hold the shaft while removing the top gear in the chaincase. Does anyone remember what that was and where it came from? Any help will be appreciated. I am changing the top gear from 24 to 23 teeth.

tool for top gear removal
mnmsnowbeast- Tx for reply. Other guys have said, get the tool after they galled up the shaft so I figured after the job I did on the carb screws, I'll try not to butcher this up. Must be some kind of cold up there if you're writing posts on a Sat. afternoon instead of riding! I bet it is close to -25F! By the way, watch for Otis's posts after this weekend. He has a bunch of rx's going there this weekend for a runoff isolating such things as: clutch kits. K&n's, gearing, etc. It hopefully will give all of us some real world answers on some of these aftermarket add-ons. Keep warm-some of my friends went up to Rangely this weekend. Expect to see lots of suspension damage on Mon am!
