Top Gear Change

I want to change my clutching and was told to set it for 8000-10000 ft I would have to also change my top gear. (I have that) my question is, how big of a pain in the A$$ is it to change back to 17 tooth gear? I run a 18 tooth top gear currently. But if someone could tell me what weights to run with current gear to make it easy (if possible) I would appreciate it!

The gear is pretty simple to change I done mine this past winter.
