Replaced the top gear again but the was not so much wear on bushing this time.
1 was replaced with 4062 miles on it , 2 was replace with 3650 miles on it.
You can see from the pictures # 1 had a lot more wear but only had 400 miles more than #2.

It made me think the same thing! After factory chain oil I used synthetic and I keep the oil to top or just above window. chain is 1.25 turns from finger tight. I could of got away without changing that gear this time but would of had to take it apart in the winter, so just changed it.So what did you do different, tighter chain, different oil ?

I'm not really sure but going to keep doing what I did lol # 2 looks great for that many miles on it.

Thanks... just an Fyi yamalube just came out with a synthetic chain lube, but ya i agree just keep doing what you did that bushing looks great.It made me think the same thing!
