Top Speed Apex GT?

anyone know what the top speed is on the apex gt? ive seen 118 on my 07 but i dont know how accurate the spedometer is

If you do a search on here you'll find lots of info on speed. The speedo is commonly referred to as the dreamometer. It's 12-15% off. 118 on my speedo is 102 on gps. It has more in it, but it wasn't the best conditions that day.

you know it's weird.. I cannot get more than 109-111mph (on speedo) out of my apex, but my warrior can hit 124mph.. what is the deal with that? I know conditions are an issue as well as track tension, but I dont get it.. I am wondering if my warrior just runs a bit looser as it has 10,200 miles where my apex has 5400 miles.. any thoughts?

Not 100% sure, but it seems some of the new Apex’s might have more accurate speedos compared to older ones.
Realistic radar/gps speeds on ice usually range from 107-114 true mph. A bit of setup and a couple mods can get into the 115-120 mph range from what I’ve seen.

My 07 apex gt has gone 111 gps on hard snow,have not been able to get to any good ice to see what it runs on bare ice,all my other apex sleds have done same on snow and 117-118 gps on ice,and yes this sled has the dreameter too,it reads anywhere between 121-131 for that 111 gps speed.

The same goes for mine.. On My old Rx-warrior I hit 119 on the dreammeter, but my apex i usually get 109-115 on the dreammeter, I did hit 124 once on next to bear pavement with a dusting of snow..

I haven't got mine anywhere near tope end yet but it is pulling so hard at 100-105 I gotta believe it will go 120+ on the dreamometer. My 02 Vipe shows me 112-115 consistently and my Apex is pulling noticeably harder through 100 than my Viper.

That is with 10T drivers so its radar speed not dream meter speed.

On this ice track I had my 06 Apex Gt
between 122 and 124.4 mph for 4 runs.

06 Apex GT
NO ram air.NO NOS.

*EDIT--NO TAILWIND.Stock 1.25 Ripsaw.
Best runs around 2 pm or later.Guys I run with have expierenced
faster times in the afternoon.I had slower runs at noontime.
No loose floppy coats.Leather is good.
Chin needs to be very close to the gas cap.
Elbows and knees in.

Reverse intact.Stock gearing.
Ulmer stage 2 clutching at indicated 10,750-800.
Lowered.
Original stock worn carbides.
144 studs.Stud Boy trail studs.
Small wheel kit at front of rail.
Belt had over 600 miles on it.
Low windshield.
Stock plugs.
Worn sliders.
Few tweaks and adjustments and a couple other things
very simple and easy.
Same day newer Mach-Z ran just over 125 mph and a SRX did a 126 mph.

The best speed my 06 GT ran this year was 124 MPH with my 225 butt on it in about 3500 ft with a tail wind, my girlfriend ran 127 same day/distance - she ran 120.3 in 2000 ft and I ran 119.1

are those radar speeds? If so thats very impressive.

The 2000 ft were from the NBSSR radar runs in Sudbury Ontario I made a mistake on her speed - was 120.2 not .3- the others were radared on Lake Simcoe out with some friends.
