top speed for xtx

so explain what makes the xtx faster? the tiped up rail past the 121 poit or the extra wieght of the longer track just bustin on u, but would like to know

less angle of attack at the front rails, and less resitance going around the back of the 6' tip up rails.

The circomferance is more roundiss than oval, if that makes sence

144 track is 10 pounds heavier then a 121. no amount of lesser approach angle & tiped up rails(???) is gonna make up that difference in rotating mass.Race a short track nytro in 1/4 mile with an xtx & see what happens.

I would love to race a short track nytro though just to see, everyone with a shortie says they hit a wall at 70mph, I dont hit a wall till 90 and I wouldnt even call it a wall really........maybe its the different clutching?? I dunno but it'd be fun to try and see the outcome.

so true, mine pull to 90mph (speedo) in any condition...no wall here at 70

haha justinator i wouldnt call it a wall either.... my wall is usually ,my body not wanting to hang on with 95 mph winds hitting me in the chest

I hit 92mph on hardpack with my MTX before she was broke in. The size of your gut will determine top speed more than your track.

On the Ice behind my house, my Speedo said 110 mph and GPS read 105
Stock RTX 08 with Studs.
Most likely the fastest there is/was, because "I" own it!

had my first big ride yesterday on my xtx,just hit 100 miles,my thought is the thing is clutched way too tight,this was what i found on my 06 rtx when it was new and i hated it ,new front spring and a couple tweaks and problem solved on the 06,couldnt go 15 mph,clutches keep kicking out ,this is where i will go first to see if i can get the driveability to my liking,im hoping it will be an easy fix on the xtx like it was on the apex,going 50 mph the rpm were 400 higher than my buddies vector and engagement was like 1000 higher,i dont like that at all,no other comlaints so far,tried my set of mountian skis ,the thing floats really well across all this new snow,broke a lot of trails ,will put the stock ones back on to see the difference,should be better on drug trails for sure,then i will look at making it a little noisier,its even quieter to ride than my buddies vector,looks like lots of room to put whatever you want to in under the seat,will take some measurements today and start looking for a muffler

we had one up to 117 mph on speedo on a long packed road,nothing done to it,bone stock,those sleds are fast,we then proceeded to drags,around 6 to 700',the nytro kicked everyone's butt,including the mighty z1 turbo,badly,we had dragon's,apex's rx1 machZ's,it is so fast on a drag race,dont know if anything can compete with this thing,that is stock of course
