Does the helix make a big difference out of the hole?

Yes, a steeper angle will drop your rpm's, upshift quicker with less track spin.billymx815 said:Does the helix make a big difference out of the hole?

Quicker upshift will require additional traction!

Come on guys! Stock Nytros running 105 on gps? Not in this life! In late 90"s,had a T-cat done up nicely. Speedo spun around past the odometer. So I guess it was good for what, 150mph. Come on ! I had 07 Apex that showed 119 on speedo, actual maybe what 110? I know what 100 mph feels like and have driven 3 Nytros and that ain't it. Luv the pull at low end but sled wasn't built for 100 mph stock. Just too heavy!

i am not so sure it won't do a 100 mph in 1/4 mile, my xtx ran 92, 93, 93, 94 on a radar run in mid march last year in horrible conditions at the end of the afternoon at 4:30pm temp was 43 deg snow was sloppy and run on all day, speedo was bouncing around pretty bad but the few times i caught a glimpse said 95, 96 at the line. I usually see around 100 to 110 for top end but i weigh 160lbs

94.5 mph is all I could muster WOT across Beaver Lake a couple weeks ago. I wish I could get another 12-15 mph out of her. I am not sure whats wrong. Pulls great out of th hole. Just dies at 85 and slowly climbs to 98 on the speedo (94 mph GPS) and thats where it stops.

My stocker showed 106mph on the speedo. this year with mods I've seen 113MPH.
Your Apex must have been a slouch. I saw as mush as 128 on my apex on The Dream meter. My RX-1 was better then that. i saw 136 on the dream meter. I think the Boivne Skis helped that sled a ton.

What were you getting with radar or GPS?

geez, i thought a nytro was alot faster than that, im getting low to mid 90's consistantly, got it to flicker 101-102 once on a road. I was looking at getting a nytro going into next season, maybe i will keep my ditch banger.

larrypolaris said:Best speed seen so far this year was 105 on a hard pack trail. I am sure it would be faster on ice with a touch of snow on top, ideal conditions. Had Ulmer clutch kit in.
Ran radar runs this past weekend in Paradise at their Mardy Gras. Not the best conditions at all for speed. They were run on a soft snow trail that was groomed every so many runs, approx 37 deg sunny day. Not sure of the distance. It looked like 660 feet.
With ulmer clutch kit ran 83 mph on radar, my speedo was reading 90 mph. With D&F weights ran 79 mph, speedo was reading 86 mph.
Other sleds that day.
Another XTX ran 84 but he was a smaller guy and he had large aluminum wheels in the rear axle in the middle only, no out side wheels.
2007 Attak ran 89 mph
2006 Attak ran 90 mph
600 Dragon ran 74 mph
800 Dragon ran 86 mph
Modded F1000 cross fire ran 92 mph.
2007 600 SDI Rev X short track ran 80 mph.
We were at the drags Friday and Saturday.
We have the same 1" predator studded tracks our 3 nytros
09 SE bone stock ran 87-86-86-86
08 with pc111, header,filters ran 91-91-91-91
Mine with the trail stage 1 turbo from ulmer ran 97-96-93
The trophies were really nice too! I won 901cc and bigger both days.
The 91mph nytro took a second on friday but the race was cut short due to no EMS on site.

I agree, my Nytro has seen 114 (110GPS) on a snow covered/icey road pushing 3" of powder. My Apex showed 132mph on the speedo, which was 115 GPS.

Mine read 112 this year on hard packed trail, had more but the stretch wasn't long enough..after breaking it in and gearing up with some x-weights (lighter) yes lighter weights it runs much better. it all depends on how your suspension is set up and how efficient your clutching is. Rider weight on these things makes all the diffrence. I can run side by side with my buddies 01 xcr 800 from 60 til i top out..he gets maybe a sled on me after that. I'm impressed. I wasn't so impressed last year though.

Dream meter is right! I luv this sled but sticking to my guns, Just not a hi mph machine. I'll just shut my yap and enjoy my 90 mph Nytro. Gotta go the tooth fairy is at the door on her 115 mph Nytro.
