Yamahabandit...I don't see why it's so hard to believe that these sleds can't pull decent mph...don't forget that some of these are XTX'x which will pull better mph...Daranello has proven it on vid..with gps. A sled that makes 135-140hp should be able to pull 100-105 with proper setup...a 600cc 2 stroke can do it. Conditions will always play a big part in top speed....Nytros running 105 is very doable!

Ran radar runs this past weekend in Paradise at their Mardy Gras. Not the best conditions at all for speed. They were run on a soft snow trail that was groomed every so many runs, approx 37 deg sunny day. Not sure of the distance. It looked like 660 feet.
With ulmer clutch kit ran 83 mph on radar, my speedo was reading 90 mph. With D&F weights ran 79 mph, speedo was reading 86 mph.
Other sleds that day.
Another XTX ran 84 but he was a smaller guy and he had large aluminum wheels in the rear axle in the middle only, no out side wheels.
2007 Attak ran 89 mph
2006 Attak ran 90 mph
600 Dragon ran 74 mph
800 Dragon ran 86 mph
Modded F1000 cross fire ran 92 mph.
2007 600 SDI Rev X short track ran 80 mph.
We were at the drags Friday and Saturday.
We have the same 1" predator studded tracks our 3 nytros
09 SE bone stock ran 87-86-86-86
08 with pc111, header,filters ran 91-91-91-91
Mine with the trail stage 1 turbo from ulmer ran 97-96-93
The trophies were really nice too! I won 901cc and bigger both days.
The 91mph nytro took a second on friday but the race was cut short due to no EMS on site.
Yup we had a good time for sure at the radar run's. The five trophies we took home between the three of use just made it that much better LOL

Yup I'm an idiot and every Yamaha I've owned has been a dog ! Just my luck. At least the wife luvs me and I still luv my Nytro even if its a dog.
P.s All canadian Nytros must be dogs. My last Cat was a 700 Crossfire. Was a true 100mph sled in stock form. Would have killed a Nytro on top end. Please lets keep Cat jokes to a minimum.

all these sleds go about 100mph. Some are faster then others. Most people that talk about this is fast and this isnt don't know what they are talking about. talk is cheap.

Thanks Dirkdiggler, I'm not trying to stir the pot, just saying some guys tend to overestimate top end of sleds. This is true no matter brand of sled they drive. I agree a sled with135 hp should hit 100mph in its sleep. But Nytro is a very heavy sled. Pickup front end then find a 800r and pick it up. Now that is light! I 'm not a doo fan but with 150hp in an 800r and 135hp with a much heavier Nytro, the doo should pull away. Sorry if I po'd some guys!

Not pissing anybody off.... Yes maybe a stock 121" Nytro will barely hit a 90-100mph and an XTX is 98-104. Some motors may differ. But, the claims the guys are stating are with power adders or good clutching or just a good running stocker. The power add ons, no internal motor mods.... exhaust, filters and tweaked air fuel will add top speed to these sleds. My sled did 114DM (110GPS) on a snow/icey road pushing 3" of Powder. Believe what you want..... But, don't be so sceptical, that none of these sleds can acheive a good top end. Darenello has proved it in a video and that was stock at the time..... The regular 121" are defintely slower then the XTX.
I have beaten an 08 800R twice in 1500Ft. Sorry you have a slow sled.

No need to apologize for my slow pok. Have 136 kit by the way.Love sled the way it is,took 2 seasons to get bugs out of her and make it ride properly and make slides last. Already planning performance mods for next year! Have 8200k's on her and still going strong. Getting a little bit leary about some of problems guys are having though.

What kind of speeds do you see on the dream meter? What kind of mods do you have 'Clutching/motor". My Stock RTX Se that was 136'd last year did 106 mph on the dream meter. This year my 121 rtx se has hit 113 mph.

I think no matter what kind of Nytro you have you should be able to reach 170km/h or 106mph minimum. Here we are three guys that own FX Nytro, two 121 an one XTX and all the sled could do that easily, i'll say it again.... easily.
