I'm out in the garage putting the skid back in. can someone help me out with the torq specs on the 4 bolts that hold the skid to the sled. Also this is my first time taking it out and putting it back in. any tips getting it back in? Does it matter if I do the front our rear bolts first? Thanks

43 ft lbs on the front, 50 on the rear.

Page 160 in the manual. ;)!

I've used a ratchet strap in the past to compress the skid a touch to line up the bolt holes. Other than that its pretty straight forward.

Thanks fire the info. I do have a manual out on loan to a friend. Need to get that back. I got the front bolts in but I'm struggling with the rear bolts

Unbolt your torsion springs, everything will line up a ton easier. No need for a ratchet strap. I really don't torque those bolts either just make sure they are good and tight. And put the front bolts in first.

thanks for the tips guys. All put back together and now calling it a night. All I got left to do is polish the tunnel and make her shine! This sure a great site with a lot of great people. Thanks again

What did it take to line it up?

Also you can download a manual in the FAQ in the top of this section.

Unbolting the torsion springs is the way to go (actually it is a snap ring). I also use a floor jack for fine tuning.
Couple of things to remember is make sure your track tension adjustor is facing the right way otherwise you will not be able to access the bolt though track window (had to pull of rear axel with skid in to change PTA).
Also I use red locktite on rear suspension bolts and blue on front.
