2018 50th Anniversary Sidewinder LTX
Just replacing some bearings and noticed some slop in the spring hook. Thought it was probably the plastic and was surprised to see it was the aluminum. Have 18000 kms on sled, check yours when doing your maintenence.

I've changed a few of these myself.



 
No, you don't feel anything, the torsion spring is still in the hook and the idler wheel is in place on the end. The wheel covers it up, that's why you don't really notice until you have to take it off to do a bearing.
 
Now you can use the old worn brackets to mount 2 extra wheels in your skid!
 
I use the Dupont's so the wear is pretty even. All the idlers were upgraded to the oversize ones years ago.
 
Excell 8 wheel kit on the way. . 4th wheel kit just got here from barn of parts. Can you mount the forth wheel any direction ?
