Tow Bumper from Yamaha Accessories Catalog

Has anybody here used the Yamaha Accessories tow bumper. I sometimes pull around a portable fish house, or an Otter sled to haul stuff and would like to add a tow hitch. Looks like a quality piece from the picture in the catalog. Just curious how it mounts, and how it looks when installed. The part number is 8FA-W7541-00-KT. It would be going on my '07 Apex ER. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it is the same as mine.'05 vector it is a quality piece, steel. I have not used it to tow with,no snow at the camp where we have to tow in supplies.
Being vertically challenged the bumper does make for a better lifting position to lift rear of sled.

I see the tow bumper itself is about $92, and the tow hitch part is about another $12. I thought it was a little high, too, but probably worth it if it is made well and looks decent. Anybody with pictures of one in place? How about installation? Thanks for the info up to this point. This site truly is a Yamaha sledder's best friend.

Thanks for the pic! That's about what it looks like in the catalog. The upper bar on the tow bumper must replace the original bumper bar/lift handle. Did you install it, or have the dealer do it? Or did it come on the sled?

yes you remove the original bumper. I did install myself.It is not difficult. As I remember you have to drill out two brackets to add new bumper

Thanks for all the info! I think I'll call up my dealer and order one. Looks pretty good for a tow hitch!
