Would like to check my TPS settings. Wondering if someone can post the steps to do so. Also what settings are best? On 06 Apex MCX turbo.

Thanks

Just get it into diagnostics mode,

Turn on key and hit yor kill switch.

Hold select and reset down and pull the kill back on. Keep holding about 8 seconds. Then wait for d1 then let go. You should be able to work your throttle and display the value of the TPS.

I can't remember though if after you hold for 8 seconds you reelease and hold for another 3.

Ran mine through its full range and it goes from 5 to 32 ??? I have the 5v reference voltage at the plug all the resistance checks (closed and wide open throttle) in the service manual were within specifications. I’m thinking the MPI fuel controller may be interfering with the diagnostic mode.

Hmmmm this is strange (85%)

(15 to 95)
85% of 95 = 14.25

(5 to 32)
85% of 32 = 4.8

I have the MPI fuel controller connected and the T.O.R.S bypassed so there might actually be two things affecting it...BUT...I'm not having a performance issue and all the meter readings from the service manual are correct at the TPS and Plug so I'm not going to make the effort to reconnect the stock harness and hook the T.O.R.S back up just to see. Just thought my diag was strange so I thought I would mention it.

Hammer, it is the mpi box. I have checked mine before and is 15-94 with the box unhooked and 3-32 with the box hooked. I called mpi a few weeks ago to ask them about this, because I am having a problem of when I let off the throttle, the sled doesnt drop rpm for about 2-3 seconds later. Mpi didnt have any clue as to what I was talking about when I ask them about the 3-32.

I know the T.O.R.S doesn't matter because mine is unhooked. That doesn't throw the TPS out.

Could be the MPI box the purelogic one does not effect TPS read out.
