I am running a 151 track on a 141 M8 Cat skid. My track currently needs to be replaced and I am researching into buying a new one for next winter.

Right now, I have stock 2004 Challenger 2" and I hate it. The lugs are way too soft and I have no hook up on hard pack, the sled just spins. Also, I can't go wide open up the lake because lugs just come flying off.

I would like a stiffer lug that can take wide open throttle at least for a little stretch.

I am not a mountain rider (no mountains), but need the big lug for breaking trail through the bush and tearing through deep slush. A friend of mine has a 1.75" Camo Backcounty on his Nytro XTX which seems to hook up pretty good.

Any insights or suggestions?

I also have a Ripsaw 151/1.25" that has been hardly used for sale.

Is your current track a 3.0" pitch? If not, the following wouldn't apply unless you change drivers.

If so, you might want to try the new Powerclaw track. I am very impressed with the all around capability of mine.

You could get the 153" and just tighten your adjusters up a bit.
