Bought a 09 nytro xtx with the track extended from a 144 to 159. It Needs a new track as the old one has a tear in it. Should I take the extension off or leave it. The sled is gonna be mostly used for trail riding.
i would take it off as the 144" tracks are cheaper. as the trend is to taller lug than stock, you could try a composit 1-1/2" paddle track or go to the camoplast 1-3/4" track that was an upgrade for those sleds from yamaha if the drivers match the oe 2.52 pitch.
If its xtx skid with 7.5 in extension it will be tipped up so it will handle fine. Way more choices in 144 tracks. But if you found a great used 159 you would probably be ok. Definitely limited in track options for the 159.
