I have the viper rtx 129 inch track just a little over 1,000 miles on it now and my track keeps fraying pretty bad on all the edges , even the edges inside the little square in the middle of the track. Ive heard burning them off with a torch helps and I've tried that but they still come back after a ride. Is this normal?

A picture would help.

I don't have a picture because I'm not near the sled and when i got back from my trip i burned them all off again. I guess I just find it annoying because my dad got a new skidoo and cousin got a new polaris and they both have same miles and their tracks look as good as when they picked them up, where mine has strings hanging out the sides, just was wondering if other peoples vipers are fraying or notA picture would help.

I have an XTX SE and it has been fraying the track pretty much since the first ride. Im not too worried about it.

The reason I wanted a pic was to see if any rubber was rubbing off. If it's just the strings I don't think it's a problem. I have some also and have seen lots of that over the years. All depends on the model of track.

alright thanks for the reply . ill keep an eye on it and if it gets worse ill be sure to take a picture to try and explain it better
Mine is same. Just keep burning them off. About 4000mi now and track is still great condition. I did fully clip it after losing some clips though. None lost since so that seems to have worked well.
