adam718,

Please take the time to fill in your location in your profile, site rules.

Thanks!

If you try a search on "track porting", you should get a couple hits to read through. May help to know what kind of concern you may have as well. IE: are you curiuos about reliability, performance or pros/cons?

What do you mean options? I think there are only 2 options. You either do it or not. :-)

OK. Well maybe there are some options. 1, 2, or 3 holes down the middle. Most are using 1" to 1-1/4". I used 1-1/8" and put 3 holes down the middle.

Some are also porting the outside of the track. I didn't. Seemed a little too extreme for my taste.

I am on the 2nd season with my ported Maverick and no issues so far. This is on an 04 RX-1 with Turbo. I like the mod for it makes the track much more flexible so it rolls easier. Then there is the snow removal theory. Seems there is a lot less snow in the suspension after riding in the deep.

Anyway, hope this helps. I am sure if you do a search you will have plenty more to read. Then you can make your choice to port, or not to port. :-)

Good luck,

J.

Hey Jonny Rocket, Thanks for the opinion. That was pretty much what I was after. Reliabilaty, performance, Ect.

I asked for Opinions, not options. :tg:

That's what happens when you read too fast and have 1 too many. :drink:

I have ported 3 of my tracks and am getting ready to port the camo extreme I just put on. My opinion is to definately do it.

J.
