I can almost guarantee that you forgot the collar that goes in the hub assembly on the chaincase side, it is coloured red in the picture above. It is a small silver collar with an o-ring in a groove on the inside middle.
I forgot mine, and when tightening the bolt on the lower gear, it would pull the jackshaft to the chain side.

Nope thats not it I know that collar is in their because I didn't notice it intell it fell off the gear while monkeying the chain. And I don't have any spare parts left over.
I got it figured. It's the 14mm that breaks frOm factory. It only went in a couple threads. Because my drivers were bound up in the tunnel
