I put on a new intense track and wondering how tight to tighten the track tension. Right now when my track is free hanging the lowest part of the track is where the drive lugs are flush with bottom of hyfax. I know the oem spec is way to tight. What is your track freehang with no weight?

Im going on a trip this weekend and want to make sure i dont run into any problems.

Do you have extrovert drivers? If not your going to have it pretty tight or your going to ratchet with the added traction. Also remember the track is new so it will stretch. I would bring tools to do trail side adjustments if going on a big trip.

i do not have extrovert drives. I will only be putting on about 100 miles a day for a couple days.

It will still stretch on ya. Its easier using a ratchet, extention and two sockets then using the tool kit on the sled. Have fun and youll love the new track

Ahhh whatever the manual says is good. When i had my stock drivers in, i tightened it until it didnt ratchet which is pretty tight. Sorry i cant be more precise......as long as its doesnt ratchet and its tracking straight your good ;)!

What I normaly do is place the sled free hanging with no weight and tighten the track straight then pull the track down (With little effort) till I can get 2 or 3 fingers comfortaby in the center of the track and the hayfax. I have done this many times even with new tracks and never had any issues or had to reajust. Again this has worked fine for me with no ratching also helps keep the strain of the hayfax. Hope this helps however I have a XTX model but my wife has a 121 TNT 500ss and I do the same with no issues.

on my xtx i run my free hang no tighter then top of lug to the bot. of hy-fax. It's prob about an inch lower now it's sutded and never ratchets. loose is fast and is better on hy-fax wear
